The Night Shows No Cracks

"Why are there no cracks in the sky?"

"Huh?"

"... where are the cracks?"

"... it's the sky, why would there be cracks?"

"Because why not?"

"Because why?"

"... the stars are are a big circle around us right? Like... the moon, but we're inside it"

"Yeah, that's what my dad told me..."

"So, maybe it's like the Earth too... maybe outside... it has what we have?"

"Like?"

"Like... seas... forests... people?"

"pfft, That's crazy!"

"Come on! The moon has a sea, right? Where the azumarill live?"

"Well, yeah... but..."

"But nothing!"

"Okay, but even then, so what if the circle with the stars is like Earth?"

"Well... maybe it has earthquakes too... maybe bad things happen too?"

"Why would you think that?"

"Well... pieces of it fall every once in awhile... and sometimes, the stars fly across, maybe it's a crack showing?"

"Ha, and what happens during the showers?"

"Maybe... it's really bad times..."

"..."

"Which is why we wish... we wish on a shooting star, so they'll be safe! So they'll be okay from their earthquake!"

"... I used my wish once for a baby brother"

"...did you get it...?"

"... No..."

"... Maybe you should change it?"

"Who's the wish for then?"

"... maybe give it to the Azumarill of the sky... help her broken heart"

"... I change my wish. I want the Azumarill of the moon to be happier"

"That's nice..."

"... so, if the sky does have cracks, why can't we see it then?"

"Cause it's dark! Such things are hidden"

"Then why can't we see it during the day?"

"... cause we never show our cracks in broad daylight?"
